The knee raise is the bent-leg version of this lifting pattern: pull the knees inward. It differs from the straight-leg version, where the legs remain extended as they lift. [1]

Draw the feet in and touch the left side of the bar, then draw them in again and touch the right side. Continue alternating until you have completed four touches on each side. [2]
