Hollow Body Hold
These notes combine advice from 4 reviewed passages across 3 workouts.
Overview
Section titled “Overview”The hollow-body hold is a static floor position, unlike the moving jackknife pattern. Hold the arms behind you and shape the body into a slight curve resembling a parenthesis. [3] [4]
The hollow pattern can initially be practiced for endurance. Strengthening and more technical development can follow later. [2]
Technique
Section titled “Technique”During the demonstrated rocking version of the hollow pattern, keep the body connected as one piece. Rock softly and under control at the intended point. Avoid turning the action into a sit-up or making a hard impact. [1]
