Hollow Body Hold

These notes combine advice from 4 reviewed passages across 3 workouts.

The hollow-body hold is a static floor position, unlike the moving jackknife pattern. Hold the arms behind you and shape the body into a slight curve resembling a parenthesis. [3] [4]

The hollow pattern can initially be practiced for endurance. Strengthening and more technical development can follow later. [2]

During the demonstrated rocking version of the hollow pattern, keep the body connected as one piece. Rock softly and under control at the intended point. Avoid turning the action into a sit-up or making a hard impact. [1]
